„Mobility and Quality of Life in Dogs with MUO or SRMA“

We aim to find out how physical activity affects your dog's clinical condition.Your personal experiences and observations as a dog owner are extremely valuable to us. With your input, you’ll help us improve care and quality of life for affected dogs in the future.

Data protection information and declaration of consent

1. Purpose of the processing

We collect and process the personal data for participation in the above-mentioned survey. The purpose of this survey “Exercising with MUO and SRMA” is to determine whether physical activity can help to improve your dog´s clinical symptoms associated with one of the mentioned conditions.

The results of the survey will be used by the University of Veterinary Medicine Foundation, Clinic for Small Animals for research, presentation and publication purposes; if personally identifiable information is available, it will be anonymized beforehand, Art. 6 I 1 lit. e,89 GDPR, § 3 I 1 No. 1 NHG, § 13 NDSG.

2. Legal basis of the processing

Participation in the survey is voluntary. When you complete the survey, your IP address is transmitted to the hospital server and stored there - at least temporarily. By participating in the survey, you consent to this storage in accordance with Art. 6 I 1 lit. a GDPR. No further personal data will be processed. 

All data will be treated securely and confidentially. The survey was designed using dedicated software from LimeSurvey on the clinic server. In addition, data protection information from LimeSurvey can be viewed online: https://www.limesurvey.org/de/richtlinien/datenschutzrichtlinie.

The possibility of use for teaching, research, lecture and publication purposes arises from Art. 6 I 1 lit. e GDPR in conjunction with § 13 NDSG. 

 

3. Duration of the processing

The personal data will be stored for the duration of the survey and the research project beyond. Deletion takes place automatically, at the latest 6 months after the end of the project. Legal storage obligations remain unaffected.

 

4.  Rights of the data subjects

You have a right of information from the institution named below about the personal data concerning you and, if applicable, to correction, deletion or restriction of the processing of this data and the right to object to the processing as well as a possible right to data portability. You can revoke your consent at any time, Art. 7 III GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if you think that the processing of personal data concerning you is in breach of the law. The competent supervisory authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony.
